- 01Helmet on, level, and buckled before the bike moves. Every time, including yours if you ride.
- 02Empty lot or grass. Not the street for the first sessions.
- 03Seat low enough that both feet reach the ground.
- 04Hold the seat, not the handlebars, so they are the ones steering.
- 05Let them glide with their feet before you add a lecture about pedals.
- 06When they pedal, stay beside them. Do not let go as a surprise.A surprise let-go is how they stop trusting the lesson. Tell them before you loosen your hand.
- 07Stop while it is still a good hour. One clean start is enough.
